Although we have been around for over 125 years, more is happening than ever at Åhléns. We want to invest in physical retail and are opening a new department store in Ingelsta Shopping! 

About your role

As a Sales Leader at Åhléns, you are responsible for selling and delivering an exceptional customer experience. By coaching and developing our salespeople to become a little better every day, you ensure that every customer visiting Åhléns is met by salespeople who know their products and provide world-class service. Together with the Store Manager, your mission is to increase sales by leading and developing the Salespeople in customer interactions. As a Sales Leader, you are an important role model and one of the key persons for the daily operational management of the store.

In the role of Sales Leader, you will:

  • Work with sales through active customer contact in accordance with Åhléns service concept
  • Actively work with upselling and campaigns
  • Contribute to an inspiring and well-stocked sales environment
  • Operationally drive and develop the store in consultation with the management team
  • Lead and distribute tasks in the daily work
  • Coach colleagues in customer interactions and sales in accordance with Åhléns Service Concept
  • Communicate and share relevant information within the area of responsibility
  • Be a role model and set a good example in daily work.

Your team

You will be part of a passionate team and collaborate with the Store Manager, Salespeople, and Visual Merchandiser. You are part of the store's management team, and when the Store Manager is not present, you are ultimately responsible for the store.

You bring with you:

  • At least a few years of experience in a leadership position in sales, preferably in retail
  • Experience in leading and developing teams
  • Experience in improvement work and accustomed to working goal-oriented with a focus on key figures

The role of Sales Leader involves a lot of independent work, and we place great emphasis on your leadership and personal maturity. You are business-minded and service-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize in a busy everyday life. You have good collaboration skills and can engage others through clear communication and inspiring energy. You are passionate about developing both people and the business and are motivated by seeing concrete results from your work.

About the recruitment

  • Several years of experience in sales and customer service, preferably in retail
  • Experience in coaching others in sales and customer interactions
  • Experience in working goal-oriented with a focus on key figures

You have a strong results focus and are a star in sales. You lead with commitment and are skilled at coaching your colleagues to grow and perform together. You are communicative and easily provide clear and constructive feedback. About the recruitment

The position is a permanent employment of 28 hours/week, and working hours may vary between 08:00 and 20:00. As the store is planned to open in mid-November, we hope you can start with us on November 1st.
