ABOUT THE ROLE

As a technical salesperson at HYDAC  (https://www.hydac.com/sv-se/vaart-foeretag/?_gl=1*189p4hd*_up*MQ..&gclid=CjwKCAjwupGyBhBBEiwA0UcqaMqMJ_kAYDAeX6ACUzmMDWkt5fnuWv2Oll0w-yNPsyrVoxZB9W5yIRoCodIQAvD_BwE), you hold an important position within the sales team and will work to drive and further develop the business with both existing and new customers. Customers are found in a wide range of industries and within MRO, OEM, and distribution. The focus is on the MRO segment. To be successful in this role, you should have experience and knowledge of the challenges faced by maintenance departments in our base and process industries, and you are motivated to find customer-tailored solutions that create sustainability and value for your customers.

You report to Peter Lindberg (https://www.linkedin.com/in/peter-j-lindberg/), Sales Manager for the Industrial segment, and the role is based at HYDAC's office in Örnsköldsvik (https://www.hydac.com/sv-se/vaart-team-i-sverige/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwupGyBhBBEiwA0UcqaMqMJ_kAYDAeX6ACUzmMDWkt5fnuWv2Oll0w-yNPsyrVoxZB9W5yIRoCodIQAvD_BwE#hydac-ab-oernskoeldsvik) or from a home office in Norrland. You will be responsible for sales throughout the region, essentially from Örnsköldsvik in the south to Kiruna in the north, and therefore the position requires you to be comfortable with frequent customer travel within the region. There may also be travel to other offices in the country or our sister companies abroad, primarily in Germany.

ABOUT YOU

To thrive in this role, you are genuinely interested in technical sales. You are structured and used to systematically working with your business. You are curious about the customer and work on long-term relationships to increase customer value. You have the ability to think outside the box and dare to break new ground, while also nurturing and developing existing customers. You are attentive, idea-generating, and solution-oriented in both external and internal contexts.

Your background and experience:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably with a focus on hydraulics / automation / process technology. Post-secondary education is an advantage.
  • Solid experience in sales in a demanding technical environment of solutions and products such as hydraulic components and systems, lubrication or cooling systems, or other technical solutions.
  • Business-driven with the ability to see and dare to explore new technology and opportunities with both existing and potential customers.
  • Well-developed network within the industry in northern Sweden where you are comfortable communicating, building relationships, and negotiating at all levels.
  • Good communication skills and fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of German is an advantage.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for work.
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite, as well as experience working with CRM systems and analyzing data.
