Engineer Battalion is looking for a soldier for the Operations Management Group

The Engineer Battalion, like the rest of the Army, is undergoing digitalization and is developing plans for the implementation of the next command support system while maintaining existing systems. As a soldier in the Engineer Battalion's Operations Management Group, there are great opportunities to be significantly involved in the implementation and thus in the entire unit's development of methods and practices. Does this sound interesting? Read on and feel free to apply! Your willingness and competence are crucial. We prefer that you have completed military service in a corresponding command platoon or staff group, but we always value technical competence and maturity higher, so do not hesitate to submit an application.

The Operations Management Group is part of the Göta Engineer Regiment (Ing 2) continuously employed units and is under the command system section of the battalion staff.

Main Responsibilities

As a soldier in the Operations Management Group, your main task is to deploy, manage, and maintain the battalion's command support systems to ensure their availability. The Operations Management Group is trained in and has competence in both information and communication systems. For example, mobile nodes, communication units, network technology, tactical radio (VHF and HF), and crypto devices. It is also the responsibility of the Operations Management Group to assist the command system chief in creating configurations and ensuring that all of the unit's radio devices and IT equipment are correctly configured. In addition to deploying the unit's live systems, the group also supports configuring and establishing the garrison's training systems.

One of the group's tasks is to conduct readiness operations with other parts of the unit. Furthermore, the Operations Management Group participates extensively in regular training activities, both as trained personnel and as a support resource.

Another of the group's main tasks is to support certain training by educating both conscripted and employed personnel in their respective areas of expertise, which is why all members of the group undergo corresponding group leader training.

Initially, a competence development plan will be established in consultation with the head of the command system section, which will be adapted according to previous experiences and formal competencies.

After that, you will work in the group and carry out planned or emerging tasks such as training activities, training of the unit's personnel, or deployment and management of command support systems.

Finally, the work with competence development continues to meet the organization's future requirements.
