Responsibilities

As a senior bid manager, you will have overall responsibility for leading the bidding process from identifying business opportunities to submitting a complete and competitive bid. You will coordinate the work, keep the team together, and ensure that all parts of the process follow the company's methodology and the client's requirements. Furthermore, you will analyze the client's request for proposal, identify risks and opportunities, and establish a clear structure for the work. You will plan the bid's layout, distribute tasks within the team, and lead meetings to ensure that timelines, resources, and deliveries are maintained. The role also involves building and nurturing relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, and ensuring that communication is clear and professional throughout the process. You will ensure that calculations, quantities, timelines, and technical solutions are coordinated and quality-checked. With your understanding of contract law and market pricing levels, you can make well-founded decisions and guide both colleagues and management in strategic matters. You will collaborate closely with the bid manager but independently lead the bidding work together with bid engineers, estimators, purchasers, and project managers.

  • Coordinates the work, keeps the team together, and ensures that all parts of the process follow the company's methodology and the client's requirements
  • Analyzes the client's request for proposal, identifies risks and opportunities, and establishes a clear structure for the work
  • Plans the bid's layout, distributes tasks within the team, and leads meetings to ensure timelines, resources, and suppliers are maintained
  • Builds and nurtures relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Ensures that calculations, quantities, timelines, and technical solutions are coordinated and quality-checked
  • Collaborates with the bid manager, bid engineers, estimators, purchasers, and project managers

Education, experience, and personal qualities

  • Several years of experience in similar tasks from the contractor side, either from the field or the office where you have worked with bids and processes
  • Knowledge in interpreting requests for proposals, LOU requirements, and construction contracts
  • Knowledge in the systems Bidcon, BlueBEAM, NEXT, and Wikells
  • Very good knowledge of AB, ABT, and construction law
  • Fluent in Swedish in both spoken and written form
  • Driver's license B

We are looking for someone who is analytical and can interpret documents to understand the consequences of different choices. You are structured and solution-focused, and you enjoy taking your own initiatives. Since the role involves a lot of contact with subcontractors, it is important that you are comfortable making direct contact – picking up the phone and driving the dialogue forward comes naturally to you. You are outgoing and see the role as a form of sales service where you build trust through your knowledge and commitment.
