About the position

As Unit Manager and Medical Director in Linköping, you will have a strategic and operational responsibility. You will lead both the medical development and the daily operations of the unit. Overall areas of responsibility include:

Medical leadership responsibility: Ensure high medical quality and patient safety in all aspects of the operation.

Staff & leadership: Lead and develop the team, ensuring engagement and participation in the development of the operation.

Operational management: Budget responsibility, follow-up, and operational planning—with the opportunity to influence and drive long-term development.

Operational work: Continued clinical participation, depending on your background and staffing needs.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who:

- Is a licensed specialist physician in gastroenterology.

- Is confident, strategic, and clear in your leadership, with the ability to combine a holistic perspective with operational details.

- Is empathetic, attentive, and engaged – you thrive in a development-driven team and value personal presence and good communication.

- Communicates well in Swedish, both written and spoken.

Meritorious (but not required):

Previous experience as a unit manager or medical leadership role in private healthcare.

Experience in quality work, patient safety, and operational management.

Digital proficiency or experience in developing digital working methods.

Leadership training and experience in change management.
