Our Offer

GeBlod is part of clinical immunology and transfusion medicine (KITM), which is part of the Diagnostics Center in Region Östergötland. At GeBlod, our primary focus is the donor. We are a vital link that provides hospitals and patients with the life-saving blood supply they need. We are now looking for a dedicated vehicle driver and vehicle manager who wants to help shape the future of blood donation in Region Östergötland.

Job Description

As a vehicle driver at GeBlod, you are our face to the public. You will drive our blood bus to the designated stop for the day, serving about 40 stops throughout the county. Our garage is located in Tallboda, Linköping. The bus operates Monday to Friday (excluding major holidays), mostly during the day, but also occasionally in the evenings. During the day on the blood bus, you will work with certain tasks related to blood donation, and we will provide internal training for this. To drive our blood bus, a C-class driving license is required. Currently, we also have a nursing assistant who drives the bus.

As the vehicle manager, you will play a central role in keeping our vehicles in top condition. You will be the key person ensuring that our blood bus and our leased cars are in perfect shape. You will ensure that the vehicles are serviced, inspected, and any repairs are carried out smoothly. You will also be our valuable contact with our partners and suppliers.

You will also participate in events and activities for recruiting blood donors. Some work shifts may be scheduled at our fixed donor location on Storgatan in Linköping, where you will work at the reception and welcome donors. Weekend work may occur as this location is also open on Saturdays.

About You

We are looking for someone who has a C-class driving license and preferably several years of experience driving heavy vehicles. The driving license must not have been revoked in the last 3 years. A criminal record extract must be presented at a possible interview.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as well as good computer skills. It is an advantage if you have experience in healthcare, as there is an opportunity to broaden your tasks.

You are a person who loves to take initiative and structure your work. Collaboration is important to you, and you enjoy being flexible and want to contribute to the clinic's success.
