In June 2025, Transdev will take over the operation of Östgötapendeln, and we are now looking for an operations manager for our new operations management team in Mjölby. Here you will play a central role in ensuring smooth and reliable train journeys for our passengers and contributing to a successful traffic start.

About the role

As an operations manager at Transdev, you will be responsible for all functions within operations management. You will ensure that your shifts follow our directives, routines, and work instructions. You will also have an overarching responsibility for ensuring that our processes within operations management function effectively and smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Implement measures related to traffic decisions and prioritize vehicle allocation.
• Manage vehicles to and from daily and technical maintenance.
• Proactively monitor the traffic situation and ensure information sharing with relevant parties.
• Log decisions within your area of responsibility.
• Set requirements towards the Transport Administration to ensure quality train operations.
• Receive reports from staff in the event of illness, trauma, or incidents and ensure they receive support according to our routines.
• Administrative work related to operations management.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a train driver or has recently been one, or has at least one year of experience working in operations management within rail traffic.
• Has solid knowledge of the railway, its geography, and stakeholders.
• Has a basic understanding of vehicle technology, as well as good knowledge in analysis, train production, and traffic issues.
• Is resilient and able to handle challenging traffic situations.
• Has high analytical and logical abilities and can make quick and independent decisions.
• Has good interpersonal skills and can collaborate with others.
• Preferred: Experience driving or working with vehicle type X61.
