We are now looking for a Shiftleader Food & Beverage (Assistant F&B Manager) to join our team at Scandic Värnamo, a role where you will help drive the daily operations in breakfast service, conferences, banquet hall, and our Prosecco bar. About the role

You will be part of the operational management at Scandic Värnamo and work closely with our F&B Manager on planning, budgeting, and scheduling. You will lead the daily work, coach colleagues, and ensure that both guests and employees have a world-class experience. You will lead by example and be present during breakfast service, conferences, the banquet hall, and our Prosecco bar. You will work cross-functionally between the kitchen, restaurant, bar, and conference, and you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and pitch in where needed. The role requires both intuition and structure.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and distributing work during your shifts in the restaurant, bar, breakfast, and conference
• Coaching, inspiring, and onboarding new employees
• Supporting the F&B Manager with routines, short-term scheduling, and budgeting

as well as inventory

• Being responsible for orders, goods, and inventory
• Representing and promoting the hotel at events, client meetings, and on social media
• Contributing structure, order, and a positive drive within the team

Who is a good fit for the role?

We believe you have a background in the hotel or restaurant industry, preferably in a leading or coordinating role. You have a good understanding of both service and cooking, perhaps you have worked as a chef or have other kitchen experience and enjoy sharing your knowledge. You are confident, present, and like to be where the action is, while also keeping track of administration, scheduling, and routines. We value curiosity, engagement, and a willingness to contribute; no two days are the same with us!

We would like you to:

• Have good experience in service roles
• Have a coaching leadership style and enjoy inspiring others
• Have experience working with both guests and staff in focus
• Have good structure and the ability to plan and follow up
• Have an interest in marketing and social media
• Speak and write Swedish and English fluently
• Have relevant education or equivalent work experience
• Have an understanding of digital systems and be comfortable in an IT environment

If you have also worked with professional cooking, it is a strong merit.
