At Norlandia Preschools, we are looking for a chef to work at our preschool Bredsand in Enköping. At Norlandia preschools, we work based on our four core concepts, which are important parts of the work even for you as a chef. The four concepts consist of Food with Taste, Norlandia Jump, Family Services, and GoGreen.

As a chef, you will become an important part of the work team and a role model for all of us in the work of creating varied, nutritious, and health-promoting food. Norlandia preschools actively work to distinguish themselves by offering varied, nutritious, and good food prepared by trained chefs through our food concept MatMedSmak. All food is prepared on-site with fine ingredients and a lot of love.

Job Description for Chef at Norlandia Bredsand

We see our chefs as fantastic resources who add value and enjoyment to the operation and to the meal. To create joy in food and a good experience, the focus is on the entire meal.

We want to establish lifelong positive food experiences for the children in our preschools and awaken children's curiosity about exciting flavors and develop their sensory abilities. This means that we sometimes challenge the children regarding menu choices and flavoring.

Norlandia Preschools Bredsand is a preschool where we offer well-prepared lunch, a good and nutritious breakfast, and varied snacks. Within Norlandia, we work with family services, which means we want to offer guardians a service where they can buy, for example, bread, meal boxes, or similar to simplify their daily lives. This is in a startup phase, so you as a chef have great opportunities to influence and come up with thoughts and ideas. We work to serve climate-smart meals and are proud of our KRAV certification. We are looking for someone who loves food, service, and sustainability!  

Examples of common tasks

• Preparation and serving of all meals at the preschool.
• Cleaning according to cleaning routines.
• Preparation of special diets
• Baking of bread and cooking for family services.
• Purchasing of food items and planning.
• Daily work with self-control/HACCP/Krav
• Participate in the further development of our meal concept Mat med Smak.

Qualifications and personal qualities

• High school education in restaurant and catering or equivalent.
• Education in self-control and food hygiene.
• When working in a preschool, a current extract from the police criminal record is required to be shown at the interview.
• Good knowledge in preparing special diets
• You are a secure and responsible person who has an attitude and approach towards both big and small that aligns well with the preschool's values.
• You have good knowledge as a chef and a desire to develop our parent services at the preschool.
• You are solution-oriented, positive, and a driven person with ambitions and joy at work!
• You enjoy taking responsibility and find it easy to collaborate with your colleagues.
• You are an engaged and positive person who can create trust with children, guardians, and other customers.

You also have a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Working hours: Daytime

Start date: September 1, 2025, or by agreement

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
