Myggan is a small parent-driven preschool located in Norby, adjacent to the wonderful Hågadalen. We have 25 children aged 1-5 years and, besides you, there are 5 people in the staff team.

At Myggan, we serve cooked meals to both children and staff every day. We strive to have a varied and nutritious diet with a large proportion of organic and locally sourced ingredients. The food is prepared in our cozy kitchen, which is an integral part of the preschool's premises.

We are now looking for a cook for the preschool who wants to help drive the kitchen forward and develop together with the children. You are engaged, driven, and have experience working with similar tasks.

We offer:

• A work schedule that, as much as possible, is adapted to employees' wishes, as well as shorter working hours on Fridays. Regular opening hours are Monday-Thursday 7:15-17, Fridays 7:30-16. Summer closure for four weeks around July

Job responsibilities:

• Prepare lunch and snacks
• Develop the preschool's menu according to applicable guidelines
• Be responsible for food purchases
• Work pedagogically with food and ingredients together with the staff team
• Cleaning the kitchen and light cleaning of other areas (about 1 hour daily)
• Partly work in the children's group

About you:

• You have a drive and commitment to food and children
• Previous experience cooking nutritious meals suitable for preschool-aged children
• Knowledge of laws and guidelines for nutritional values, special diets, allergies, and food handling
• Hygiene training and experience with self-control in the kitchen
• Experience with cleaning, preferably from similar operations, as well as knowledge of hygiene requirements and cleaning routines to prevent the spread of infection among children
• Good planning skills and accustomed to driving your work forward
• Contributes positively to collaboration within the team and to create a pleasant environment around meals
• Ability to work actively and pedagogically with the children

Previous work in childcare is an advantage.

The position is 75% of full-time with the possibility of working more. Start as soon as possible by agreement. We apply a 6-month probationary period.
