Responsibilities
As a strategic buyer at Chemgroup, you play a key role in securing, developing, and optimizing supplier collaboration and purchasing processes. The role is broad and developing – perfect for you who thrive on combining business acumen, negotiations, and process development in a complex industry. You will work with a selection of the most central suppliers and be responsible for strategic issues such as contracts, negotiations, supplier development, and improvement work, as well as some operational parts to ensure understanding of the entire purchasing flow.
The role involves monitoring that goals are met, that the right contracts are in place, and that correct data is collected from suppliers. You will also support the team in contract matters and act as an experienced sounding board in complex purchasing situations. You will collaborate closely with product specialists, who are central to product and supplier arrangements, as well as with customer developers, customer service, and KAM functions in matters related to customer requirements.
- Responsible for key suppliers and their contracts.
- Lead negotiations and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Identify areas for improvement and develop purchasing routines.
- Implement new suppliers based on customer projects.
- Collaborate closely with product specialists and other internal functions.
Education, experience, and personal qualities
Requirements:
• At least three years of experience in purchasing
• Documented experience in strategic purchasing and supplier development
• Good proficiency in Excel and data-driven analysis
• Excellent knowledge of both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written form
• Ability to work in a structured manner and drive purchasing-related improvement initiatives
Meritorious:
• Experience with Visma Business or similar business systems
• Background in sales or commercial roles
