Working as a Junior Electrical Power Engineer

We are looking for a recent graduate to join one of our clients working with HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) – a technology that enables long-distance electricity transmission and the connection of offshore wind farms.

We seek entry-level candidates with a positive mindset and a willingness to learn and explore new areas. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to work with fantastic colleagues, grow in exciting projects, and contribute to solutions that make a real impact on society and the environment.

Some of your daily tasks could be:

• Participate and collaborate in project groups, responsible for electrical system design of HVDC converter stations
• Working with simulation tools that we mainly use are PSCAD, PSSE and Power Factory.
• Develop small tools in Excel, MATLAB or Python to effectively analyze and process large amounts of data
• You will perform electrical calculations and simulations for the dimensioning of HVDC systems
• You perform the work in an analytical and structured manner and take responsibility for your task

Being a consultant at Nexer Tech Talent

Nexer Tech Talent specializes in giving young tech talents the ultimate start in their careers. For this role, you will be employed by Nexer Tech Talent but work at a client, located in Ludvika, start asap.

You will be coached by a mentor at the client and by a consultant manager at Nexer Tech Talent. As a consultant, you will be well taken care of. We often invite our consultants to group activities such as lectures, after works and lunch meetings. After successful completion of the consulting assignment, the intention is that you will be offered employment with the client.

Desired qualifications:

• Are at the start of your career and hold a master's degree in the field of Electric Power Engineering or Engineering Physics
• As a person, you are a team player with excellent communication and take on new tasks with a positive spirit
• You have a general understanding of electrical power systems
• Good knowledge in modeling and analyzing electrical circuits in the frequency domain by hand and via computer
• You encounter problems with a practical mindset
• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish & English.
