Linjemontage is a modern company in the electrical power industry that performs contracting work in the field of power supply facilities from 0.4 kV to 400 kV. This can range from complex deliveries of complete transformer stations, deliveries of power lines to the replacement of parts of systems such as remote control, relay protection, etc. Our customers include grid owners, industries, municipal and state authorities. Linjemontage has offices and operations throughout Sweden as well as in Norway and a branch in Croatia. We have over 350 employees. Since 2019, Linjemontage has been part of Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd.

Linjemontage's business area Power Facilities renovates and builds new facilities based on customer needs and current market requirements. We ensure that they meet the right quality and safety levels to create a safe and productive workplace. Ultimately, our work creates additional opportunities to improve the Swedish power grid. In our assignments, we perform planning, design, project management, and procurement of contracts and production. We work project-oriented, and both customers and suppliers operate in an international market, but our customers are mainly in Sweden. We deliver transformer stations to power companies and grid companies with voltages up to 400 kV. The projects are usually total contracts where we are responsible for design, land, construction, assembly, and commissioning of the finished facility. We work closely together on projects and typically use our own resources across all functional areas. With us, there are both newly graduated employees and those with experience of up to 30 years. For this role in Västerås, we are specifically looking for someone with many years of experience to achieve a good balance of expertise.

Job Responsibilities As a Primary Designer for substation facilities 0.4-400 kV, you will have varied tasks with a continuous focus on problem-solving. We maintain ongoing dialogue with both customers and suppliers to ensure that we collectively produce the right solution at the right time. The work is done in teams for both bids and projects. This way, you will get to know many of those who work with us and gain significant experience exchange. We design all our substations and stations in Microstation, where all modeling is done in 3D. The work area is broad, where we produce the following: • Building permit documents for substations and control buildings. • Ground data for the placement of foundations, cables, pipes, grounding wire, etc. • Design data for steel and foundations. • Assembly data for the entire substation, which our assemblers build according to. We also work with visualizing our facilities in VR (Virtual Reality), where one can experience a 3D model of the station before the first shovel is turned.

Qualifications You have a university degree or vocational training and/or several years of experience in the field. We expect you to have good computer skills. In your work style, you are engaged, meticulous, structured, and enjoy working in teams. The position requires you to have a driver's license with at least a B category. We operate throughout Sweden, which may mean that you will have to travel a bit during the weeks. We highly value your personal qualities.
