Ottobock Care is one of Sweden's largest orthopedic technical operations with clinics in 20 locations across Sweden, and together with Ottobock, we are one of the world's leading suppliers in orthopedic technology. We receive patients via referrals as well as private individuals in need of prosthetics, orthoses, seating aids, and orthopedic shoes or insoles. Ottobock Care currently has a total contract for orthopedic technical service within Region Dalarna. We work with all types of orthopedic aids, and the work is carried out in close collaboration with healthcare through, among other things, team cooperation. Ottobock Care operates at Falu Hospital with smaller clinics in Mora, Ludvika, and Avesta.

About the position

As a Licensed Orthopedic Engineer with us, you will work to improve the quality of life for people by enhancing their mobility and independence. We work with all types of orthopedic aids, from orthopedic shoes and insoles to orthoses and prosthetics. The foundation of our operations is the collaboration with other healthcare personnel and the teamwork carried out within child/adult habilitation, orthopedics/neurorehabilitation, diabetes teams, and prosthetic clinics.

In addition, we offer newly graduated orthopedic engineers the opportunity to participate in a two-year introductory program.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement. The place of employment is Falun, but work at one of our local workshops in Mora, Ludvika, or Avesta is also included. You will report to the operations manager.

About you

You who are applying have a License and a degree from the Orthopedic Engineering Program in Jönköping or equivalent, which is a requirement for your application to be processed. Exceptions apply to those who are newly graduated and have not yet received a license from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You are proficient in both Swedish and English and have good computer skills.

You are curious about new challenges. You have a good ability to organize and plan your work while meeting deadlines. You take independent responsibility for your tasks, drive your own processes, and ensure they are completed. You adapt easily to new circumstances and can quickly change your approach. You see opportunities in change.
