Job Description

As a security guard, your primary task is to deliver safety at our clients' locations. You do this, for example, in a monitoring center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have greater authority than a regular guard and often work closely with our clients' personnel on objects that are crucial to Sweden's security.

The work is independent and is often perceived as free, but with a great responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, at night or during the day. The length of shifts varies, but they are often scheduled in 12-hour shifts. Since we operate every day of the year, weekend work is common.

You will, for example:

• Handle matters within your assignment area
• Ensure that no unauthorized persons have access to the objects
• Staff stationary objects as needed

Requirements

You have a high school education with passing grades in Swedish and English. As you will be traveling between different locations in your role, a B driver's license is required for the position. If you have worked with similar tasks before, this is certainly a strong merit, but not a requirement. The greatest emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized, able to handle periods of high work pace. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you, as an applicant, are an independent person who trusts your own ability, quickly understands problems, and solves them creatively. You have a systematic and meticulous approach with an eye for detail.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have passing grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information collected may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
