About our client Our client, a global and world-leading player in its field, has a strong belief in the long-term sustainability of HVDC technology (High Voltage Direct Current). This technology enables energy transport with direct current at high voltages, making it suitable for transmitting energy over long distances and connecting power grids with minimal losses. For offshore wind power or long-distance underwater transmissions, direct current is the most realistic option for energy transmission.

About the position In the role of automation engineer, your tasks will vary depending on the project, but will include:

• Participate in feasibility studies to identify risks and develop concepts before project design
• Develop automation solutions through programming and implementation of code
• Develop code based on documentation from electrical design
• Perform commissioning and testing of implemented solutions after installation
• Support colleagues and project teams, regarding technical support and guidance on possible solutions and approaches.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, such as electrical and mechanical designers
• Contribute to the long-term strategic work on how the facility and production should develop moving forward

Your profile

As a person, you have a genuine technical interest and are driven to develop and learn new things. You are proactive, solution-oriented, and meticulous, and you are not afraid to take on new challenges where the solution is not always obvious from the start. Furthermore, we would like you to have:

• Several years of work experience in automation

• Previous experience in developing projects, both small and large

• Experience in PLC/SCADA/HMI development

• Good knowledge of English; knowledge of Swedish is highly meritorious

• Experience in IT/OT solutions close to production is an advantage
