Here, we develop together – with trust, smart ideas, and strong teamwork as our foundation. Seize the opportunity to grow in a role where both you and the technology are in constant motion!

Location: Kinnared Employment: Full-time Working hours: Main working hours in two shifts. Night, weekend, and day shifts may occur. Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement About the role As a Toolmaker at Gnotec, you will have an important and technically varied role where you work on manufacturing, adjusting, and assembling tools with high precision. Your daily tasks will include reading technical drawings, working with CNC programming, and performing machining operations such as milling, turning, and grinding.

You will work with several types of tools – such as cutting, pressing, and forming tools – as well as jigs and fixtures, which requires both technical understanding and an eye for detail. The work also involves making active material choices based on function and properties, as well as assembling and fine-tuning tool components into finished units.

The role requires a holistic perspective where knowledge of tool design, material properties, and manufacturing processes is combined with practical craftsmanship. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with other functions, playing an important role in ensuring that the tools maintain high quality, functionality, and longevity.

About you We are looking for someone with a technical interest, a meticulous work style, and an eye for detail. You thrive in a practical role where structure, quality, and problem-solving are a natural part of everyday life – whether you are at the beginning of your career or have several years of experience in the profession.

You have a good understanding of reading drawings and enjoy working with your hands, whether it involves manufacturing, assembling, or adjusting components. Working with precision and within tight tolerances is something you feel comfortable with – or would like to learn more about.

To thrive in this role, we see that you are responsible, structured, and have a positive attitude towards collaboration. You communicate clearly, are curious to develop, and always focus on safety and quality in what you do.

In addition to your personal qualities, we see that you have:

  • A high school education in industrial technology or equivalent followed by apprenticeship or vocational training.
  • Understanding of tool design, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and use CAD/CAM software to create tool designs and CNC programs.
  • Knowledge in machining such as turning, milling, grinding, and spark erosion, as well as assembly of tool components.
  • Understanding of different materials and their properties to choose the right material for the tool.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
