Project Manager in Wheeled Vehicles

Responsibilities

As one of our project managers in the wheeled vehicle area, you will work on a project with an international character. The section you work in is responsible for everything from motorcycles and scooters to passenger cars, transport vehicles, off-road vehicles, and protected vehicles. You will be responsible for planning, leading, developing, and following up on the project. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the project's budget and financial follow-up. Additionally, you will also be responsible for ensuring that deliveries are made on time and with the right quality. In this role, you will lead the work for the engineers and have close contact with other parts of FMV as well as the Armed Forces and the industry.

The position is located in Östersund. Travel is required for the job.

We are looking for someone who

You are a trained civil or university engineer, alternatively an officer or have equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. We see that you have several years of current and relevant experience working on technical projects. You have several years of experience leading projects with project staff and also have project management training. Furthermore, you also have experience in negotiations and hold a B driver's license. You also have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you also have experience in technical systems work. We would prefer that you have experience in procurement of military systems or that you have experience in vehicle procurement. If you also have experience in public procurement, it is an advantage.

We believe that you have a good ability to lead and motivate others. You work well with other people and strive to achieve high-set goals. In your work, you plan, organize, and structure effectively. We place great importance on personal qualities.

About us

FMV's area of operations Armémateriel delivers technology, services, and materials to the Armed Forces' operations. Within FMV, the Army area is organized into producing departments in the areas of: vehicles, weapons and protection, indirect fire and air defense, as well as Wheeled Vehicles, CBRN, and Home Guard, along with a staff and a system management department.

The Wheeled Vehicles unit is organized under the Wheeled Vehicles, CBRN, and Home Guard department. The unit procures and supports the maintenance of the majority of the Armed Forces' wheeled vehicle systems such as trucks, off-road vehicles, light and heavy trailers, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and ATVs. The work is mainly carried out in project form, and you will organizationally belong to the light wheeled vehicles section, where we currently have about 20 employees.
