Car Care/Service Driver at Göteborgs Stads Leasing AB

Göteborgs Stads Leasing AB (GSL) is a leasing company owned by the City of Gothenburg. Our focus is to offer attractive and green leasing solutions for vehicles, machinery, micromobility, and other movable property while providing excellent service to the city's administrations and companies. We also handle a significant portion of the city's mail, package, and food deliveries through our transport operations.

We drive the work around several important goals in Gothenburg City's environmental and climate program, such as a fossil-free vehicle fleet by 2023, fossil-free machinery by 2025/2030, and responsibility for the Circular Economy strategy. We strive to contribute to a sustainable city by reducing the city's costs and influencing the city's operations to make green choices. We work towards fulfilling several areas of the city's ambitious electrification plan and participate in various innovation projects within our area of responsibility. We are an attractive workplace consisting of a total of five units with approximately 100 employees and we have a total turnover of 800 million SEK.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a Car Care/Service Driver at Göteborgs Stads Leasing AB.

As a Car Care/Service Driver with us, you will be responsible for ensuring that our rental and replacement cars are ready for the next rental period, which includes refueling the vehicle, washing and cleaning inside and out, and conducting a documented damage inspection before the car is handed over to colleagues in the car rental department. You will also be responsible for performing the washing and cleaning services that our customers order in connection with service.

You will work closely with colleagues in the car rental and customer reception departments, and the trust and team spirit between you are extremely important for delivering high customer satisfaction together. You will also partially work as a service driver, which means picking up and dropping off cars for customers who have monthly subscriptions for washing and cleaning, and during tire changes and service.

You are responsible for ensuring that the work is performed with the highest quality and that processes and routines are followed. To succeed in this role, you need to be meticulous and efficient in your tasks, as well as stress-resistant and in excellent physical condition.

You collaborate well with your colleagues and have no problem helping out where needed. As a person, you are engaged, reliable, and have a very good sense of service and quality, always greeting both customers and colleagues with a friendly demeanor. Previous experience in car care or reconditioning is an advantage.

We have a total of 2,300 vehicles in our fleet that we service and maintain in our workshop. The car rental center handles the process regarding replacement cars, rental cars, and damage cases. Our rental fleet consists of about 250 vehicles.

In 2023, we underwent a reorganization and the business unit Operational Leasing was formed with three units; Fleet Management, Car Rental Center, and Service Market, including two customer receptions. We are working on implementing common routines to create efficient and digitized processes for good customer delivery. As part of this work, we are facing a system change for managing our vehicle administration. The first step is to implement a system for managing, among other things, the rental fleet and associated additional services. This means we are still in a development phase, which brings both challenges and opportunities.

You will report to the unit manager for the Car Rental Center.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, we place high demands on personal qualities and suitability.

We are looking for someone with knowledge and a strong interest in cars, driven by achieving results and delivering high customer satisfaction. Documented experience as a Car Care/Service Driver from the automotive or rental industry is considered an advantage. We also prefer candidates with experience from service and sales-oriented professions where you have demonstrated good social skills and delivery towards customers.

It is important that you quickly adapt to new tasks and become self-sufficient. You should have a trust-building approach where responsiveness, service mindset, and team spirit are key, and you excel at building good relationships with both colleagues and customers.

It is a requirement that you:

• have a B driver's license (for manual cars)
• are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• are comfortable using a phone, computer, and iPad as work tools, as these are commonly used in parts of the job.
• have a relevant 3-year upper secondary education, or an equivalent deemed acceptable by the employer.
