About the positionWe are now looking for a Specialist in Automation who wants to join us on the exciting journey of developing and operating one of Europe's largest automated food warehouses, together with us and our customer Coop. Our operational maintenance team consists of shift-based Shift Leaders and Technicians (Mechatronic), complemented by daytime Maintenance Planners and technical Specialists. In total, we are about 80 people.

Together with your colleagues in our specialist team (3 people), you will be responsible for deeper troubleshooting (Automation, electrical, and mechanical) and ensure that we carry out our actions according to quality-assured work instructions with accompanying risk analyses. Through your and your team's combined specialist knowledge, you will ensure that our routines actively contribute to our continuous development. You will also continuously train and keep our shift-based Technicians and Shift Leaders updated, in line with the needs of the business.

We are in an exciting phase of development, and you will have close collaboration with our international project groups and specialists. You will report directly to SSI Schäfer's Maintenance Manager on site.

Who are we looking for?In the role of Specialist, we would like you to have broad experience with various types of automation solutions, preferably related to the operation of warehouses, material handling, distribution, or businesses with similar technical systems. You are genuinely interested in technical maintenance issues and driven by developing, implementing, and seeing the results of improvements, while also sharing your knowledge and contributing to our growth as a team and as individuals. You are used to being the person others turn to for help and support in problem-solving, and you enjoy being the hub for escalation, coordinating activities with our internal/external experts. You are driven by the ability to turn a solution into routine, and you are naturally good at making quick and thoughtful decisions, even under pressure.

As a person, you are open, clear, and engaging. You work in a structured manner and thrive in a broad role with varied tasks where you are the bridge between technical solutions, people, and business. You are proactive and analytical, but also careful not to lose focus on what moves the work forward.

Qualifications

• High school or university degree with a focus on maintenance (Electrical & Automation) or similar work experience that we can consider equivalent.
• At least 4-5 years of experience as an Automation Engineer in a similar role.
• Experience in structured maintenance work supported by maintenance systems and with accompanying escalation and coordination with internal specialists.
• Previous experience in material handling/warehouse and logistics automation is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
