About the Job

The position is full-time daytime at the machining factory, and SKF Mekan hires the right person directly. A-Staffing handles only the recruitment. The need is permanent. Working hours may involve shifts with standby duty at times.

Job Description

As a mechanic at SKF Mekan, you are responsible for carrying out preventive and acute maintenance of machinery and equipment based on preparation and the directives of the work management. All in accordance with SKF's principles and values. The work as a mechanic offers a wide variety of tasks within the responsibilities of the maintenance department. Since maintenance is a service function, high demands are placed on responsiveness to the customer, i.e., production.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

• General mechanical maintenance of production equipment and installation work.
• Troubleshooting and rectification of faults in production equipment.
• Inspection and preventive maintenance.
• Replacement of faulty parts. If necessary, new manufacturing also takes place.
• Work in accordance with safety regulations.
• Follow the company's internal procedures, environmental, quality, personnel, etc.

You will work closely with other maintenance personnel, working both independently and in a group. This involves varied work with both new and old technology in a workshop environment. There are good opportunities for personal development within the company.

Education and Certificates

We require that you have industrial/technical education at least from high school level or equivalent competence.

Experience

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

• Documented education and several years of experience in the profession
• Experience in reading and understanding machinery documentation including drawings
• You work according to the laws and regulations applicable to the profession
• B driver's license and preferably truck and scissor lift certificates
• Computer skills (Office package + maintenance system)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Experience in Lean and improvement work

You also need to have documented knowledge/experience in:

• Reading drawings
• Welding (MIG, MAG, and Gas)
• Pneumatics and Hydraulics

It is advantageous if you have knowledge in PLC, NC, and electrical engineering.
