About Us

The Women's Clinic in Karlskrona consists of a maternity ward, postnatal ward, gynecology department, gynecology outpatient clinic, and surgery.

The Women's Clinic also provides women's health care throughout the county. At the gynecology outpatient clinic, you will meet helpful and positive midwives, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, counselors, and doctors. As the current department head of the clinic moves on to new challenges, we are looking for someone who wants to continue developing women's healthcare in Region Blekinge with us!

About the Job

As the department head, you will plan, lead, and develop the department based on the organization's goals. You will have primary responsibility for personnel, finances, and the work environment at the clinic. You will report directly to the operational manager and be part of the clinic's management team. The role also involves collaborating with other healthcare units both within and outside the clinic. Together with the operational manager and 7 other department heads, you will contribute to the clinic's results and development. The clinic's staff consists of knowledgeable, helpful, and driven nurses, midwives, counselors, and nursing assistants. The operations are based in Karlskrona.

About You

The position requires a university degree, and it is desirable that you have worked in healthcare. Experience in women's healthcare and/or managerial experience is advantageous.

As a leader, you are attentive and clear, with good social skills and the ability to take a holistic view of the clinic as part of the Women's Clinic. We are looking for someone who is focused on development, motivated by finding new solutions and collaborations – always with the best interests of the patients and staff in mind.

Additional Information

The appointment as department head is temporary and combined with permanent employment within your own professional field.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
