Job Ad: Park Worker for the Summer Season

Markaryd is a small municipality with big goals and high well-being. The workplace is under the Technical Administration, which consists of environmental and building management, water and sewage unit, street/park unit, rescue unit, property management, food unit, and cleaning unit.

What does your workday look like?

The Park Department is responsible for the maintenance of the municipality's parks, playgrounds, nature/green areas, and public beaches. We also take care of the external environment around schools, preschools, and other municipally owned properties. The staff consists of 8 park workers divided into different work areas. During the peak season, we increase the staff by about 3 people.

For the summer season, we are looking for someone with experience in park work and lawn mowing with ride-on machines, from mid-April to the end of August in our park department. The duties of the park worker will include, among other things, mowing with a machine, trimming and clearing, planting, weeding, pruning of hedges, bushes, and other plants, maintenance of green areas, plantings, and cleaning.

For the position, we require you to have a driver's license B, be generally technically knowledgeable, and have an interest in the green side. It is also a merit if you have education in road work, brush cutter, and chainsaw license.

You should be able to work both independently and in a team and have a good ability to collaborate. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Previous experience in similar tasks is a merit.

What do we offer?

The position is a seasonal employment from mid-April to the end of August, full-time.
