Huseby Bruk is managed by the National Property Board of Sweden. The public operations are run by Huseby Bruk AB, a municipal company owned by Alvesta and Växjö municipalities. The last private owner, Florence Stephens, bequeathed Huseby Bruk to the state upon her passing in 1979. Since 1982, Huseby has been a public visitor destination operating in the spirit of the founder according to the mandate in the will. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work includes regular tasks in the large kitchen garden and the historical park, such as sowing, planting, weeding, lawn mowing, watering, grass clearing, and caring for plants in the greenhouse. It also includes caring for chickens, as we have chickens in the kitchen garden during the summer. Other tasks may occur during events, including some weekend work. The tasks are physically demanding and change throughout the season.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with experience in similar work within kitchen gardening and park maintenance. It is advantageous if you have education in gardening or similar, and also experience with e.g., ride-on mowers, lawnmowers, brush cutters, garden tractors, etc. We would like you to speak English in addition to Swedish, as we have many foreign visitors. You should be flexible and able to quickly switch between different tasks.

Huseby is a visitor destination, so good hospitality towards visitors and colleagues is important. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The position runs from April to September.
