Do you want to work outdoors this summer and contribute to making the cemetery a well-maintained and peaceful place? We are looking for cemetery workers for the period from June to August 2025.

About us

The Växjö cemetery and property management is part of the Church of Sweden in Växjö. We are responsible for burial services and the maintenance of 44 cemeteries, of which 37 are in use, as well as 39 churches and chapels. Our organization consists of 51 permanent employees, 24 seasonal employees, and about 35 summer workers each year.

Job responsibilities

As a cemetery worker, you will perform practical tasks such as:

• Grave maintenance and watering
• Lawn mowing and trimming
• Weeding and raking

Work clothes will be provided by us.

We need employees both in the Växjö urban area and in rural areas.

Qualifications

• You enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• You are responsible, meticulous, and have a positive attitude towards collaboration.
• You meet cemetery visitors, including mourners, with respect and kindness.

Previous experience in green space maintenance and machinery operation is an advantage.
