Do you want to be part of developing Region Kalmar County's patient-centered analysis operations? We offer an exciting and challenging opportunity for you as a biomedical analyst seeking new challenges.

Our team needs reinforcement and we are now looking for a dedicated individual who wants to help drive and improve our operations. The position includes work with point-of-care analyses (PNA) and routine work in clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine in Oskarshamn.

You will, among other things, be the contact person for the point-of-care analysis operations and guide our customers and clients. You will collaborate with the PNA manager in the southern county, as well as with the responsible chemist and physician, to ensure the quality of point-of-care analyses in Region Kalmar County's inpatient and outpatient care. The tasks also include educating assistant nurses and meeting with representatives from various suppliers in the field. You will also take the lead in the work of electronically connecting PNA instruments and organizing training for users of various PNA instruments. Routine work in operations will be in hematology, general chemistry, coagulation, immunochemistry, and blood group serology, and will include weekend duty every fourth weekend.

About You

You, who are a licensed biomedical analyst with a great interest in point-of-care analysis operations. You have a curiosity for the area and enjoy creating and maintaining good relationships with customers and clients. Previous experience in PNA is a merit. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who is confident in their laboratory work, curious about new challenges, and who is willing to share their knowledge by guiding others.

Our operations are county-wide and run around the clock in clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine. We are about 120 employees in our county unit, and our team consists of assistant nurses, biomedical analysts, medical secretaries, nurses, medical chemists, medical biologists, chemists, and physicians. We are located at our three hospitals in the county, Kalmar, Oskarshamn, and Västervik.

At the Diagnostic Center, more than six million analyses, examinations, and treatments are performed annually. Our county-wide operations are located at the hospitals in Kalmar, Oskarshamn, and Västervik.

At our center, 260 employees work in the units of clinical pathology, clinical microbiology, clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine, clinical physiology and nuclear medicine, infection control and hygiene, as well as biobank and tissue center. We are a scientific competence center and active in several research areas. Here at the Diagnostic Center, we perform meaningful work of high quality and offer good service.
