Max is Sweden's oldest and most beloved hamburger chain! We started back in 1968 in Gällivare, Sweden. This makes our family-owned business one of the longest-standing hamburger chains in all of Europe. On May 12, 2011, Max opened its first restaurant in Oslo, Norway. The ambition remains the same as it was 50 years ago - with the best ingredients, we aim to serve the best hamburgers.

A day at Max

As a restaurant team member, your tasks are varied. You serve our guests and ensure that the restaurant is clean and tidy. You work in the kitchen, where you prepare burgers, smoothies, and deluxe shakes, among other things. You are responsible for the cash register, taking orders and ensuring that guests receive the correct items. All of this is done in collaboration with your colleagues.

The work involves varying hours on days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Under the guidance of the restaurant manager or an experienced colleague, you will learn the job step by step at the different stations and through our digital training. Almost all of our managers started in this role!

How does the process work?

We have chosen to remove CVs and personal letters for our restaurant team positions. Instead of submitting your CV and personal letter, you will answer a series of selection questions and take a Service Test. We therefore ask you to respond thoroughly to the selection questions. After you have submitted your application, you will receive a test via email. This is a Service Test that involves answering how you would handle a situation that may arise in the daily work at Max. The test takes a maximum of 15 minutes. After you have completed the test, we will review your application and contact you as soon as we can. Please note that the Service Test is a mandatory step in our recruitment process, so we will not proceed with candidates who do not complete the test!
