At the production unit in Eslöv, we have about 170 employees who work on manufacturing glass windows for the automotive industry and specialize in smart windows. Smart windows is the common term for side windows with special features, such as water-repellent or laminated. Water-repellent glass has a surface layer that repels water droplets from the side window during rainy weather, which improves visibility and enhances safe driving. A laminated side window provides greater safety as the lamination prevents glass shards from spreading in case of break-ins or traffic accidents. The production in Eslöv involves everything from receiving flat glass to shaping a finished side window, and the final product is then delivered to various vehicle manufacturers such as Volvo, Audi, Jaguar, Maserati, Volkswagen, Ford, and others. The manufacturing process is highly automated with advanced technological content.

Maintenance Technician for an Exciting Role at Saint-Gobain – Eslöv

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the maintenance team in Eslöv and report to the Maintenance Manager. Your role is diverse and responsible, including tasks such as preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance, modifications, design changes, and condition monitoring.

Role Description:

As a Maintenance Technician, you and your colleagues work with the machinery where a large part of the process equipment is PLC-controlled. It is essential that you can read and understand mechanical and design drawings as this is a crucial part of our process. You will also be involved in the ongoing development of our maintenance system. As part of the team, you have direct access to the workshop.

The tasks are varied, and there are significant development opportunities for the right person. Since we work with the World Class Manufacturing concept, it is essential that you actively participate in various improvement projects to contribute to the company's development.

Your Background:

We are looking for someone with a mechanical or automotive technical education, or equivalent, preferably with some work experience in the field. Ideally, you have training in troubleshooting methodology and experience in repair and troubleshooting knowledge in Electrical and/or Automation. You have an interest in technology and seek long-term commitment. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone with a humble attitude towards new tasks and the ability to work independently.

You have no issues being an ambassador for the maintenance department and can represent the company in a professional manner. Furthermore, you are good at collaborating, not afraid to take initiative, meticulous, enjoy challenges and problem-solving. Curiosity and questioning are two essential qualities in your professional life. You feel comfortable working in an international environment and have no problem switching between Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

About the Position:

We are looking for several Maintenance Technicians, and the position is a full-time permanent employment for all, but the working hours may vary. You can work daytime, shifts, or weekend/evening shifts, depending on your preference. Immediate start. Placement at Saint-Gobain in Eslöv.
