RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want the opportunity to be part of the start-up of a new organization? Are you motivated by a role with varied tasks and many points of contact? Do you thrive in a work environment where we support and help each other? Then we might have the job and colleagues for you!

We are now looking for a confident and driven construction project manager for the Technical Office. With us, you will be part of a larger workgroup where we all strive to ensure that our construction projects meet both high quality standards and our clients' expectations. Together with your project colleagues, you will lead and take overall responsibility for both current and future construction projects within the Sandviken municipality. This includes new construction, renovation, and reconstruction projects for our property portfolio, which largely consists of schools, preschools, care facilities, sports facilities, offices, commercial properties, and more.

As a project manager, you will have overall responsibility for your projects. This includes both financial responsibility and driving your projects from start to finish. You will lead meetings and handle occupational health and safety issues within the project, where you will play a central role in ensuring that our construction projects meet both high quality standards and our overarching goals. A large part of your role involves planning, preparing construction documents and tender documents, and coordinating the various stakeholders in the project such as clients, suppliers, consultants, and contractors.

With us, you will have a broad and varied professional role in a team with a strong focus on teamwork and helpfulness in everyday life. Within the project group, we all have different areas of expertise, and we believe in sharing our knowledge and experiences to promote participation and a learning organization. To succeed in our mission, we work for a holistic view, collaboration, and dialogue. In addition to your project colleagues, you will also have a close collaboration with the office's property engineers and our newly formed operations unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a broad knowledge of the building technical field and the construction process as a whole. We imagine that you have acquired this knowledge through practical experience in the real estate and/or construction industry, and we hope to strengthen our project group with a colleague who excels in the field of building construction. You have previous experience in a coordinating role, preferably with associated tasks such as management, structured work, and financial responsibility. Of course, your possible engineering degree in the field of technology, construction, and/or real estate is important, but we also value practical experience highly. A driver's license is a requirement.

If you also have knowledge and experience in construction law, we see it as a strong merit. Having client competence, being familiar with the Public Procurement Act, Basic P, and having served as a responsible inspector are other merits.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and to succeed in the role, good communication skills are essential, as well as the willingness to share and build knowledge with others and the ability to take initiative and make things happen. As a project manager, you will have close collaboration with both external parties and internal functions within the municipality, so we are looking for someone who has the ability to work well with others. You have a knack for relating to others in a sensitive and smooth manner while listening, communicating, and solving problems constructively.

With us, you will be part of a larger workgroup where we engage with each other and work to make each other better. To ensure quality and efficient work, we are looking for someone who understands their role while also considering the best interests of the entire organization in their actions and decisions. You have the ability to see the bigger picture and take into account the larger perspective. Although you will have close collaboration with your colleagues, the work as a construction project manager is partly independent, which requires you to take responsibility for your task. You have the ability to independently structure your approach and drive your processes forward. The role also requires you to make correct assessments and prioritizations within your projects. You can weigh complex information and different types of considerations and exercise judgment in statements, actions, and decisions.

Apply now and become part of our team! Together, we are building a city and municipality to be proud of. We look forward to welcoming you to our new premises at Sandbacka Park.
