Specialist Nurse at the Infection Clinic/Venhälsan

Are you a specialist nurse interested in combining your clinical work with development, improvement work, patient safety, and research? Then this could be the job for you!

The Infection Clinic/Venhälsan is part of the Infection Clinic at Södersjukhuset.

Here we handle individuals living with HIV regardless of gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation. In our preventive work, we test, treat, and follow up on sexually transmitted infections (STIs), with our target group being men who have sex with men and transgender individuals. We offer pre-exposure prophylaxis against HIV (PrEP) and vaccinate against Mpox. The clinic operates in a transprofessional manner, with doctors, nurses, midwives, and nursing assistants working together. There is also a psychosocial team consisting of social workers and a psychiatrist.

Research has always been an important part of Venhälsan's operations. The clinic has conducted studies on HIV, STIs, and sexual health for a long time. Even today, research is an integral part of clinical everyday life, with current areas such as PrEP, digitalization, sexual health, and HIV. By combining practice and research, Venhälsan contributes to a more knowledge-based care for our target groups.
