Make a difference. Every day.
We invest here, now, and in the future!
Do you want to help shape Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) in Kristianstad? Are you looking for an inspiring, varied, and engaging job? Do you want to work in an organization that consistently puts the patient first? Do you enjoy working with in-depth assessments and have good problem-solving skills? Then this might be the right position for you!
Bup in Kristianstad consists of an outpatient clinic and a mid-care clinic, located in a separate building just behind the hospital in Kristianstad.
At the outpatient clinic, we conduct assessments and evaluations of psychiatric symptoms in children and adolescents up to 18 years old. We offer treatment for children's and adolescents' psychiatric conditions as well as support for families and networks. Patients are referred to the mid-care from the outpatient clinic. Patients in mid-care have more extensive care needs that require more frequent visits and often involve collaboration with other mid-care staff, including social workers, nurses, caregivers, doctors, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. The team, with its various competencies, becomes an important part of the assessment and treatment work.
Our organization is in development, something we encourage our employees to participate in. We also keep ourselves updated on current research and societal changes to improve both care quality and patient safety.
We care about our work environment at the clinics, which we believe creates the best possible conditions for our employees to thrive and develop. Additionally, we actively and consciously work for an open work climate between outpatient and mid-care, enabling experience exchange, flexibility, and cohesion across clinic boundaries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a psychologist in mid-care, you have an important role with significant influence over your own work. You receive new patients, and your tasks include both treatment and in-depth assessments. This work is done both individually with the patient and together with guardians. The work around the patient is conducted both independently and in a team consisting of colleagues from various professions. In addition to collaborating with colleagues, you will also cooperate with external actors such as social services, schools, and other healthcare providers. Sometimes we need to visit our patients in their home or school environments.
We are purposefully working to be an attractive workplace, and part of this is to offer our employees opportunities to influence their own work. We value your specific competencies and encourage you as an employee to participate in our development work. Additionally, we are happy to discuss opportunities for further education, such as becoming a specialist psychologist, once you have settled into your role with us.
QUALIFICATIONS
You who are applying are a licensed psychologist authorized to practice within the Swedish healthcare system. Proficiency in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is a requirement. We prefer that you have experience working as a psychologist and experience working with children and youth. If you have worked in child psychiatry, child habilitation, adult psychiatry, or schools, we consider this a strong merit. Furthermore, it is advantageous to have advanced psychotherapeutic and/or neuropsychological competence and/or experience with neuropsychiatric assessments.
Since the job involves many contacts, both with patients, colleagues, and other partners, you need to have good social skills, teamwork ability, and enjoy working in a team. You are calm and attentive in your interactions with both patients and colleagues. Additionally, you are structured and organized in your work approach and have the ability to prioritize when necessary. We place great importance on personal suitability.
A background check will be conducted before any employment.
In this recruitment, we apply ongoing selection. We warmly welcome your application today; we look forward to getting to know you!
