Motor Technician for Our Claims Department

We are currently looking for a motor technician for our claims department! Are you interested in motor claims regulation and driven by helping customers in the best way possible? Then you might be the one we are looking for! The position is a permanent employment located in Gothenburg, where we have nice offices centrally in Nordstan.

You will become part of our claims organization that is responsible for helping our customers when accidents occur. We currently have over 900 employees across the country ensuring that customers are satisfied and receive a response characterized by personality, commitment, and responsibility.

Your Role as a Motor Technician at Folksam

As a motor technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that our repair costs are at the right level, as well as ensuring that repairs are carried out safely and environmentally correctly. You will be responsible for good cost control and handle damages in accordance with Folksam's established guidelines. You will also assess cars that cannot be repaired due to repair costs exceeding the vehicle's value and manage the administration related to that.

Your main tasks include:

• handling estimates from workshops and ensuring that agreements with them are followed
• regulating and registering machinery and fire damages.
• communicating decisions to customers and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
• documenting cases in various systems and processing invoices
• redeeming cars where the value is below the repair cost
• actively working for a smooth customer journey and good collaboration with colleagues and partners.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has completed high school education, preferably with a focus on automotive technology. You have a few years of experience as a sheet metal worker, automotive mechanic, and/or workshop manager and are accustomed to handling customers. We prefer that you have worked with cost estimation of damages in Cabas and are certified in CAB. Additionally, you have good knowledge of both Swedish and English and are used to handling IT systems effectively. It is a merit if you have an interest in boats and/or experience with boats.
