ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Norden Machinery is a world leader in tube filling machines and has steadily developed and grown over the past few years, as projects have become larger, tube filling machines more complex, and technology has received even greater focus than before. Norden Machinery's purchasing department consists of twelve people, including a purchasing manager, a purchasing controller, four material planners, and six buyers.

In your role as a buyer, you will have primary responsibility for all purchasing matters within your product range. You will be part of a dedicated purchasing team that works closely with the company's suppliers and internal customers. The department is responsible for procuring goods and services in a timely manner, to the right quality, and at the best total cost for the company in a businesslike and professional manner. The role also has continuous contact with the central purchasing organization in the parent company, Coesia. All work is focused on creating the best conditions for realizing the company's strategies, achieving our long-term goals, and meeting our challenges.

Your responsibilities include negotiating, signing, further developing, and managing contracts. You maintain supplier relationships and continuously evaluate existing and potentially new suppliers and verify their ability to meet established requirements. You also drive projects in purchasing as well as between purchasing and other internal departments. The role includes varied and diverse tasks, which means both operational and strategic work. The work involves many internal and external contacts, and travel on a few occasions per year is included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with relevant education for the position and several years of broad experience in qualified purchasing work, preferably from the manufacturing industry. You communicate well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, and have good IT skills. As a person, you are organized and proactive with a positive attitude.

You will have extensive contacts within and outside the company, which requires you to be an outgoing person who can work in a structured way. You are a confident person who can set demands without compromising your humility. Furthermore, you are used to working in teams both internally and with external stakeholders. The ability to switch between operational and overarching strategic work is a natural part of your workday.

Your work is characterized by good business acumen, where you are analytical and goal-oriented.
