Job Duties
Aniara is a BmSS with 12 residential places focused on the psychiatric target group. The users need support from staff to create functioning routines and maintain structure in their daily lives, as well as motivation to promote independence. Challenging behavior occurs in the operation, as well as various types of self-harm. Care is also provided. Experience with the target group and previous work in the role of support educator is a requirement.
We work with low-arousal approaches (LAB), AAC (alternative/augmentative communication), and MI (motivational interviewing) and strive to create a meaningful existence and good communication for and with the users.
As a support educator, you will have overall responsibility for the educational work within the operation. You will establish working methods and ensure that they are used and developed effectively. Together with the workgroup, you will establish, implement, and follow up on routines, action plans, and job descriptions. You will ensure that social documentation and implementation plans according to IBIC are established, further developed, and followed according to laws and guidelines. You will be driving the unit's systematic quality work and guide, quality assure, and support colleagues in social documentation.
Together with other support educators in the city area, you will be part of a support educator network led by a method developer. You will have contact with relatives, guardians, case managers, and home care/rehab to ensure the user receives good care, support, and services. You will be responsible for conducting operational meetings. An important part of your mission is to encourage and work towards good collaboration with all individuals in the person's network. You will have support from method developers in your work.
Working hours are during the day, evening, and every other weekend. We have a flexible base schedule. Working hours are partly allocated in operations with close work with users in combination with educational time. We use TimeCare Planning for operationally adapted and flexible schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS
For the position of support educator, post-secondary specialization in the area of disabilities is required, encompassing at least 200 YH points or 60 university credits or a combination thereof corresponding to at least two semesters of full-time studies. The education should have a clear focus on the area of disabilities in its entirety.
If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.
Experience in the role of support educator and experience in psychiatry and neuropsychiatry is required for the position. It is also required that you have experience and knowledge of IBIC, ESL, MI, low-arousal approaches (LAB). We consider it an advantage if you have knowledge of AAC - Alternative Augmentative Communication. To thrive in the role and perform well, the following personal qualities are required.
