Do you want to work at the center of Swedish and international defense and security policy? The Ministry of Defence is developing its operations based on the changing global situation and Sweden's membership in NATO. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to Sweden's security through developing tasks in a highly varied work environment.

As an officer, you will work with issues related to NATO coordination, the EU's PESCO project on military mobility, and the European Defence Agency's project on military mobility (Cross Border Movement Procedures). The tasks involve independently handling cases and preparing documentation for issues within the area of responsibility.

Your background
We are looking for someone with an academic education in a relevant field, such as economics, political science, or law, or equivalent qualifications deemed suitable for the position. You should have experience working with similar issues in the Government Offices, another government agency, or an international organization. You must also have good knowledge of public administration and knowledge of defense and security policy. The position requires you to have a very good ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish.
Relevant and current knowledge of NATO, the EU, and military mobility is advantageous. Service in a relevant international organization or in an international mission, as well as knowledge of military defense or total defense, is a plus.
Your qualities
As a person, you have a very good ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You have good initiative and are responsible and accustomed to working in a structured manner. To fit the role, you need to be flexible and able to handle different types of tasks. It is important that you have good judgment and developed analytical skills and can work under time pressure.

The position is a temporary contract for 6 months until January 2026, with a possible extension.
The position is classified, and a security clearance with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. You must be a Swedish citizen but can have a foreign background.
