Do you want to help shape the future of the mining industry with new battery-powered machines? We are now looking for a curious and solution-oriented battery technician who wants to help build a new and exciting role with us. Join us as we accelerate the transformation.

Your Mission

As a Battery Technician, you will work with service, repair, and troubleshooting of batteries – primarily on our underground mining machines, but also on other vehicles such as trains and Jama scrappers. It is a varied and technically broad role where you will use both your practical and analytical skills.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting service technicians with troubleshooting and technical challenges.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing batteries and TMS/VPC systems in the field and workshop.
  • Coordinating battery replacements together with the battery coordinator.
  • Starting up new batteries.
  • Documenting and reporting battery work and updates.
  • Contributing to the development of working methods and routines for battery service.
  • Updating our systems: SynzroTeam, WOL, MOL, and Northvolt Cloud.

You will be based in our workshop in Skellefteå, but most of the work takes place in the field with our customers. This is a job for you who enjoy being active, meeting people, and getting close to customers' daily lives.

This is an exciting opportunity to help build a new type of service operation around our new products. You will be part of a team that values collaboration, development, and safety – and where you have great opportunities to grow with the role.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a genuine technical interest, an analytical mind, and a willingness to learn. You thrive in a developing role where your ideas and engagement are important for shaping future working methods. A structured approach and interest in documentation are essential.

For this role, you need to have:

  • Experience working with batteries, as well as good knowledge of electricity, troubleshooting, and electrical schematics.
  • Experience reading and interpreting hydraulic diagrams.
  • Good computer skills, preferably with experience in software updates and various technical systems.
  • Driver's license B.
  • Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.
  • It is a significant plus if you are used to working in Excel.

Location and Working Hours

The position is based in Skellefteå, and the work is scheduled during the day.

  • Community engagement.
  • Benefits package, including flexible working hours and bonuses.
