About the Position

The Community Building Administration aims to make the municipality's physical environment, infrastructure, and transportation accessible, maintain, manage, and develop. The administration's work is characterized by collaboration, a holistic view, and efficient resource utilization. Through good planning, the administration contributes to an attractive living environment that is sustainable in the long term from ecological, social, and economic perspectives.

The Community Building Administration consists of the following areas of activity: Physical planning, Water, sewage and waste, Streets, parks and forests, and Properties, Environment and building. The Project and Investment unit drives and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments.

The Property Department's main task is to provide cost-effective and operationally efficient premises for municipal operations on behalf of the Community Building Committee. The department will provide service in property matters to the municipal operations and coordinate the municipality's local planning. Additionally, the department offers services in the form of cleaning and caretaking to the municipality's other administrations.

The Operations Department performs property maintenance in and around the municipality's properties in the form of repairs, external cleaning, and assists operations with internal tasks such as moving benches and assembling furniture, etc. We are an organization with short decision-making paths.

One of our employees is retiring, so we are looking for a new property caretaker for a permanent position. We also have an employee going on parental leave, so we are also seeking a temporary property caretaker. There are great opportunities for a permanent position after the temporary assignment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a property caretaker, you will work with property maintenance inside and outside buildings, primarily schools and preschools, but also in administrative buildings and offices, as well as industrial buildings, etc. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, snow removal, and litter collection, among other tasks.

You will work using written work orders and your own assessment of the needs in the properties and among the operations. As a property caretaker, you will be the face of the operations and tenants, thus the closest representative of the property department.

QUALIFICATIONS

A high school education and computer skills are required. A property caretaker education and several years of experience in similar tasks are advantageous. Experience in installation work such as electrical, plumbing, ventilation, and cooling is also a plus.

A driver's license with B category is required.

We value experience in handling customer contacts, working independently, attention to detail, responsibility, and stress resilience.
