What you will do:

At Vehicle Engineering Chassis you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will mainly work with electrical installation and pneumatics in the physical module between frames in the front area of the truck and the routing to components outside frame in the wheelbase area of the truck. You will be in charge of developing technical solutions for HDV projects from first design to implementation in our plants as well as solving quality issues on existing products for components and installations within your area of responsibility. You will get an opportunity to work together in teams with highly skilled colleagues, in a global environment and working with new technology vehicles that will contribute to reduce the CO2 emissions.

This is us, your future team:

Chassis Electrical Installation & Pneumatics Module inside frame front and outside frame wheelbase team is a group within the Chassis CEIP (Chassi electrical installation and pneumatics) section that is responsible for the development of pneumatics and electrical routing.

The development includes design, planning, documentation, validation and verification of pneumatic and electrical routing installations. Our work is carried out in all stages of product development: complete vehicle projects, product maintenance and component projects. The work is performed in close co-operation with both internal and external contact in our multi-cultural environment such as our different development sites around the world as well as manufacturing, aftermarket, purchasing and suppliers.

Your qualifications will also include:

  • University degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalent
  • Preferably several years of working experience as an engineer within automotive engineering
  • Preferably at least five years of engineering experience within the area of sheet metal engineering and/or plastic engineering
  • Proficient in CAD (CREO) and PDM systems
  • Good automotive knowledge, truck and/or electric automotive knowledge is a merit
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and strategies is a merit
  • Good knowledge of Develop concept and Develop and Document Technical solution processes
  • Good knowledge of the engineering tools and verification processes/methods in this design area
