ABOUT THE POSITION

You will be an important part of a specialist team responsible for application databases in both cloud and on-prem environments. Here you will work closely with both development teams and architects and have the opportunity to drive technical solutions from idea to implementation. The focus is on operation, optimization, and further development of PostgreSQL databases, primarily in AWS environments. The role also includes support during production deployment, improvement work, and technical advice to other teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

• Daily operation, optimization, and troubleshooting of PostgreSQL databases (AWS RDS/Aurora and on-prem)
• Manage user permissions, security settings, encryption, and patching
• Support development teams with database-related questions and solutions
• Work with and improve CI/CD pipelines – mainly understanding and adjustments, but also the opportunity to build new
• Read and understand code in TypeScript (not required to develop your own tools)

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has experience managing PostgreSQL in production, focusing on performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident management
• Has worked in AWS environments and managed database services such as RDS or Aurora
• Has experience troubleshooting and optimizing SQL queries in complex environments
• Has experience understanding and adjusting CI/CD pipelines related to database flows
• Has experience reading TypeScript code and understanding existing solutions

It is a merit if you have:

• Experience with MongoDB and handling large data volumes with high transaction rates
• Experience with AWS services such as DMS, Secrets Manager, EC2, or Lambda
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch or Grafana
• Experience with Linux scripting and AWS CLI

Knowledge can be obtained through education, experience, or self-learning.
