JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to work close to the sea in a beautiful archipelago environment? Get paid to spend the summer in the warmth of the archipelago. We are now looking for summer substitutes for our elderly care home (nursing and care home) and home care services in the Southern Archipelago.

The boat trip here takes about 20 minutes from Saltholmen's pier. Please check Västtrafik's travel planner for how long your journey will be from your nearest stop. You must be at Saltholmen by 06:00 to take the boat to Styrsö Bratten/Styrsö Skäret to work a morning shift. In your work within elderly care, you will provide practical assistance with personal hygiene and care, support during meals, activities, laundry, and cleaning, among other things. You will also perform health and medical tasks according to instructions and delegation from a nurse. You will help with everything that the elderly cannot manage on their own in daily life. We work together to give the elderly a meaningful life.

You will receive an introduction and will follow a colleague for a few days to learn the job.

In your application, you can express your preference for where you want to work: elderly care on Styrsö during the day or night, or in home care.

• Working in home care means you support and help individuals in their own homes. You cycle to the visits. The workday starts and ends in our facilities on Styrsö or Brännö. Everything you need to know is in your mobile phone where you also document what you do.
• At the elderly care home on Styrsö, you provide care and support to the residents. All tenants live in their own apartments, and there are also common areas in the facility. Here you always work together with colleagues.
• At night, you work at the elderly care home. In case of an alarm, you also perform tasks within home care. You travel to the visits by car. To work at night, you need to have a driver's license and be able to cycle.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an open and positive attitude who has the needs of the elderly as the starting point for their actions. The most important thing is that you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You base your work on everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in meetings.

Documentation and communication are an important part of the work, so you need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. You must be at least 18 years old before June 1, 2025, in accordance with the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations on the working environment of minors (AFS 2023:2, chapter 8).

If you are going to work in home care, you need to be able to cycle. We have regular bikes and e-bikes.

To work at night, you need to have a driver's license and be able to cycle. We have automatic transmission cars.

We would like you to be able to work the entire summer period from June to August. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and puts the individual in focus. If you have training in health and care or previous work experience in healthcare, it is an advantage. As a substitute, it is important that you can work independently.
