Licensed Teacher/Special Educator for Heby Adapted Primary School

Do you want to work with experienced, creative, and positive colleagues at a small school with the world's best students? We are looking for a licensed teacher/special educator for Heby Adapted Primary School who wants to work with students in need of special support and various adaptations.

The Role

• Plan, lead, implement, and evaluate the work in student groups.
• Recognize the changing needs of the student group and individuals, and take measures to meet these needs.
• Work long-term and purposefully with respect for fundamental values.
• Be aware of your own development needs and take initiative for your own learning.
• Teach in a variety of subjects/subject areas, both practical and theoretical.

You will have close collaboration with teaching assistants in the classes and also cooperate with other teachers, your work team, and student health regarding the students. In your role, you will also collaborate with guardians, associations, social services, and other stakeholders.

About Us

We are a close-knit workgroup that works towards common goals and is driven by having a quality workplace with a good working environment. You will work together in a teaching team, which currently includes seven teachers. The workgroup also includes teaching assistants connected to the classes. The school operates in the same premises as Heby School, with proximity to nature and the municipality's sports facilities with a swimming pool. There are good commuting opportunities to Heby by both bus and train.

You, like us, collaborate with work teams for the best of the students. You thrive in the role of a leader for a group, distributing work in the classroom. You continuously work on extra adaptations in the classroom.

We Want You To:

• Have a teaching license, and we prefer that you have a special educator degree, with a focus on intellectual disabilities.
• Have experience working with students in need of special support.
• Communicate fluently in writing and speaking in Swedish.

We see that you are self-driven and enjoy collaboration. Experience working in adapted primary schools is considered an asset. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

If you are selected for the position, you will need to show an extract from the police criminal record before employment.

Interviews for the position will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
