Job Ad: Art Teacher for Grades 4-9 at Almers School

We see that Almers School has a lovely mix of staff in terms of age, different skills, and cultural backgrounds. The school is a major receiver of newly arrived immigrants and therefore has a strong organization for this. The Multilingualism unit has some of its staff stationed at the school, contributing their expertise.

The school has a school sports association, Almers School IF, which is a strong player in collaborating with the school to create great events for the entire school. Almers School has about 350 students in grades 4-9.

The school is centrally located in Varberg but with beautiful forest and hiking areas nearby. The focus of the school's development work is: joy at work, motivation, and trust.

Responsibilities

We place great emphasis on your ability to build good relationships with students as it is a key part of motivation-enhancing learning. You try and reevaluate methods, reflect on your mission, and have an inclusive approach to meet all students and provide equal opportunities for knowledge and learning. You understand the importance of relationships for learning and can develop professional relationships with students. Your approach is to meet, support, and challenge students in their development, and you work with an inclusive student perspective.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching certification in art for grades 4-9, preferably in combination with other qualifications. Please attach, via Public Jobs, grades, diplomas, and, where applicable, preschool teacher certification or teaching certification.
