PTP Psychologist to BUP Västerbotten

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric (BUP) clinic is a regional service with outpatient units in Umeå, Lycksele, and Skellefteå. The regional clinic also includes a care department located in Umeå. Within the clinic, we work in interdisciplinary teams and the work is carried out in close collaboration with the patient’s family and other networks. The role of PTP psychologist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry involves working independently and as part of a team with assessment, investigation, and treatment of children and adolescents requiring care at a specialized child psychiatric level. We meet children and adolescents with issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related health problems, eating disorders, and psychoses.

BUP Västerbotten is a University Hospital clinic and has a close collaboration with the Department of Clinical Science at Umeå University. We invest in research and have several ongoing research projects at the clinic. We are also actively engaged in the education of, for example, medical students. We strive for clinical research, quality monitoring, child psychiatric assessment and treatment, along with teaching, to form a cohesive whole.

We are now looking for a PTP psychologist for BUP Västerbotten with a preferred placement at the outpatient unit in Skellefteå, Lycksele, or Umeå.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a PTP psychologist with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that helps children and adolescents feel seen and secure.

You work under supervision, both independently and as part of a team with assessment, investigation, and treatment. The work includes consulting and collaborating with schools, social services, and other clinics within healthcare - a task that enables and creates conditions for viewing the patient from a holistic perspective. The job responsibilities follow the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations on practical training for psychologists. You will have a supervisor on-site at the outpatient unit. You will participate in Region Västerbotten's PTP program with half-day meetings either held in Umeå or digitally. The meetings include theme days led by an experienced psychologist, study visits, or discussions of professional legal and ethical issues. In addition to professional development, you will have the opportunity to exchange experiences with other PTP psychologists.

Child and adolescent psychiatry is a regional clinic, so travel to other units may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained psychologist. It is an advantage if you have experience working with children and youth. You are a confident and structured person with a professional approach. You are responsible and adaptable to changing circumstances. Since we work a lot in teams, we believe you see the value of good collaboration and communication. You enjoy sharing and receiving new knowledge and experiences.
