We at SÖRAB are now looking for a maintenance mechanic for the Brista Sorting Facility in Märsta. As SÖRAB's owner municipalities grow, the need for opportunities to manage and recycle waste increases. At SÖRAB, we work to ensure that resource extraction from generated waste occurs in the best possible way.

As part of this work, we have invested in the Brista Sorting Facility located in Märsta, a sorting facility for residual waste based on NIR technology (Near Infra Red). We are now looking for a mechanic for the facility.

About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for performing and following up on the maintenance activities of the business. Your tasks include, among other things:

• Mechanical maintenance
• Troubleshooting of the facility's equipment
• Rounds to detect technical deviations
• Condition-based assessments on production equipment
• Participate in and drive maintenance activities together with subcontractors
• Reporting and documentation in the maintenance system

Of course, you will receive a good introduction to help you settle into the role in the best way. The role involves many contact points both internally and externally with, for example, suppliers and contractors. You will be part of the maintenance department, which consists of Maintenance Planners and Maintenance Mechanics. You will report to the Maintenance Operations Manager.

About you

We see that you have at least an industrial technical high school education or equivalent experience. You have work experience from a similar role where you have performed mechanical maintenance, and with that, you have a technical understanding of machinery in industrial/manufacturing operations. It is highly meritorious if you have experience in the maintenance of conveyor belts. Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good knowledge of English, is required for the position.

As a person, you are responsible, meticulous, and structured. You enjoy working practically and have good problem-solving skills. To succeed in the role, you take independent responsibility for your work while also having good collaboration skills. Of course, we encourage development and therefore see that you are driven by improvement work and are happy to suggest how the work can be made more efficient.

Other

The position is full-time. Working hours are scheduled for two shifts (day and afternoon shifts).

Requirements

• Industrial technical education at the high school level or equivalent experience
• Work experience from a similar role involving mechanical maintenance
• Knowledge of machinery in industrial/manufacturing operations
• Good computer skills
• Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good knowledge of English

Meritorious

• Experience working in maintenance systems
• Experience in the maintenance of conveyor belts
• Knowledge of metalworking, hydraulics, and pneumatics
