As a nurse at Jakobsberg Geriatrics, you will:

• Work in pleasant departments where you use and deepen your nursing skills and thus develop in your role as a nurse.
• You will work together with a nursing assistant and in close collaboration with teams in other units.
• Your introduction will be tailored with opportunities for training/education in various aspects.
• You will meet patients with a variety of diagnoses in both acute and stable care situations, handle various medical technical equipment, manage medications with different administration methods, give blood transfusions, and conduct various sampling.

The full-time measure is 32.20 hours/week, and you work 74.74%. This means seven nights over three weeks with a longer leave. Double night-OB according to agreement. A probationary period may apply.

Job Responsibilities

The primary task is to plan and execute the patient's care together with the patient and your colleagues. You will work together with a nursing assistant and closely collaborate with the same team in other departments. On-call doctors are available for all departments, as well as a backup on-call service at home. For medication administration, we use inpatient dosages, which promotes patient safety and the work environment.

Qualifications

Requirements: Licensed nurse.

Meritorious: Desirable with a few years of experience in geriatrics/inpatient care. Specialist training and/or advanced training in relevant areas for the patient group.

Jakobsberg Geriatrics has five departments for patients with acute medical conditions of both medical, surgical, or orthopedic causes and/or rehabilitation needs.

• in addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
