Ramneröd is looking for teachers
Ramneröd School 7-9 is a centrally located secondary school in Uddevalla with a multicultural student composition.
The school has been completely renovated and rebuilt and has undergone a facelift in many different ways. We are in an exciting process with both reconstruction and a clearer student-centered approach that characterizes our work. At Ramneröd School, we welcome students from all over the city. This gives us a school that reflects society and provides children and young people with the opportunity to meet and learn from each other.
About us
We are organized into tight year-level teams around the students with a co-teaching system in core subjects and close knowledge follow-ups with a flexible support system based on students' needs. Each team has a special education teacher responsible for ensuring that focus remains on an accessible learning environment and the right support for each student. To create safety at school, we work with IBIS, which stands for Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools. We believe that we need to work together around and with the students, and that clarity and relationships help students grow and take responsibility. Through positive reinforcement, we help students take greater responsibility and become their best selves.
We also believe that students learn best when the subject matter feels relevant and authentic, and that experiences and connections to the society outside of school help students feel meaning and motivation. Therefore, we focus on experiential/authentic learning as a development area.
Working with language and knowledge development is a given for us as we see that it benefits all students.
Job responsibilities
The school has a high teacher qualification rate and a strong sense that we work together for students' goal fulfillment. The student is at the center of everything we do, and we are driven by a strong belief that our students do the right thing if they can, and that we work together to create the best possible conditions for them to succeed.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our work with continued increased goal fulfillment and a completely new Ramneröd School where all students receive the support they need and can develop in a safe environment to become their best selves. It is obvious to us that you have a relational approach and that you believe that all students want and can succeed.
Due to expansion, absences, and retirements, we now need to expand our staff group with qualifications in one or more of the following subjects: math, science, technology, social studies, Swedish/SvA. Exactly how the positions will be structured will be determined based on how your qualifications fit into the puzzle with other teachers at the school, but qualifications in at least two of the subjects are required to be offered a full-time position. It is an advantage if you have a broad qualification. Please indicate which subjects and grade levels you prefer to teach.
Mentorship is included in the positions. In Swedish/SvA and mathematics, co-teaching is applied.
Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed teacher with experience teaching at the secondary level.
Experience teaching multilingual student groups and knowledge of low-arousal responses and/or positive behavioral support is meritorious. Your ability to build strong relationships and to be a clear leader in the classroom is seen as crucial. We place great importance on personal suitability.
Interviews and selection may occur continuously during the recruitment period.
For positions where a teaching license/diploma/study certificate is required, this must be submitted before employment.
