About the Organization
Sjuntorpskolan has 320 students in grades 4–9. The school is centrally located in Sjuntorp, ten kilometers south of Trollhättan. With us, you will meet a staff of engaged educators and an open climate between teachers and management, contributing to a positive work environment. We work based on a shared holistic view, values, and approach to create strong leadership in the classrooms. Our ambition is to continuously develop ourselves and our operations with the goal of increasing students' achievement – both academically and socially. Every student should be able to develop as far as possible!
Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed teacher with subject competence in Spanish and Home Economics for grades 6–9. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and a strong ability to implement these practically in daily work.
Furthermore, the job requires good collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and initiative. You also need to be able to adapt your approach based on the situation and have a strong interest in developing the educational activities to be fun, inspiring, and challenging.
It is important that you see each student from a holistic perspective and have a positive view of students. This means that you understand that each student performs based on their conditions – and that it is your task as a teacher to meet each student's needs. You build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
Job Responsibilities
You will be part of a work team, and mentoring is included in the position. You will participate as a mentor/class teacher in the pedagogical development work and the pedagogical documentation according to the national curriculum and operational goals.
You should be familiar with your teaching assignment based on current governing documents and have good knowledge in planning, implementing, documenting, following up, and developing the educational activities together with the work team.
Using the curriculum as a basis, you choose methods, content, and approach based on each student’s knowledge, experience, and specific conditions.
