Job Description

We are now looking for an engaged and experienced special educator for one of our clients – a pleasant primary school with students from preschool to grade 9. The assignment is a full-time position starting immediately and running until the summer of 2025.

About the Assignment

As a special educator, you will primarily work with students in grades 4–9, in close collaboration with the school's student health team consisting of a counselor, psychologist, special teacher, school management, and study and career counselors. Together, you will work to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Mapping and assessment of students' needs for special support
• Designing and following up on individual action plans
• Guidance and consultation for the school's staff
• Student-centered work to promote development and learning
• Administrative work related to documentation and follow-up

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

• Has a special education degree and documented experience in similar tasks
• Is confident in your professional role and used to working both closely with students and consultatively
• Can switch between operational efforts and strategic work
• Enjoys collaboration and wants to be an active part of the student health team

Meritorious:

• Previous experience working as a consultant in schools

Your Background

You support educators in establishing educational mappings and action plans, acting as a sounding board for both the teaching group and school management. Your interest in each individual allows you to consciously adapt content and methods for each situation and student. You are familiar with various educational tools and programs and use the computer as a natural part of your work. You are structured, and we also see that you are flexible and equally comfortable seeing yourself with students in their learning environment as with the unit's educators. You are a trained special educator, with a background as a primary school teacher. You have experience working with students with reading and writing difficulties, difficulties with mathematics, and also neuropsychiatric variations. You are familiar with various mapping and compensatory aids, as well as other methods that support our students and lead to better goal fulfillment.
