Vita School is the small school in the village, an adapted primary school for grades 1-9 with about 30 students. We are a small unit with the opportunity for close collaboration. Our activities are tailored to the needs of the students.

We are a team with high competence in meeting our students but now need reinforcement as we have teachers who are about to retire.

At the school, we have an after-school program for our students as well as students from a nearby grades 4-9 school, and we also collaborate with LSS. Those of us who work together today are a group passionate about making a difference for students who need extra support in their education and daily lives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for an engaged and development-oriented teacher for instruction in our various groups.

Primarily, you need to be able to teach subjects from grades 4-6, Swedish/SVA, math, English, and social studies, but also be able to meet students studying subject areas.

You will be a teacher in groups of about 5-10 students. You will be responsible for planning the instruction for the students and collaborating with resource personnel in your group. We have a total of 6 groups/classes for grades 1-9. You will have close collaboration with school management and colleagues.

We are looking for someone who truly enjoys developing and evolving in your role as a teacher. You see opportunities to give the school's students the best start they can have based on their circumstances and needs. Your leadership and approach are important skills for leading a small group with many pedagogical challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you, a teacher for instruction/qualification aimed at adapted primary school.

Your personal qualities are important to us, and to succeed in the role, you have a conscious pedagogical approach where the student's participation and responsibility are in focus.

You create the best opportunities for students, parents, and colleagues to thrive and feel safe.

You are well-versed in the school's curriculum. You can organize and structure work based on set goals and can describe to students what is expected of them. You have good self-awareness, are confident in yourself and in your pedagogical leadership, and have the ability to take leadership both in and out of the classroom.

You should preferably have knowledge/experience of working with students in need of special support, knowledge of learning environments, and work with digital aids, e.g., visual support.

A criminal record extract is a legal requirement and will need to be presented before an employment offer is made.
