About the Job

Skogsgläntan Elderly Home is beautifully located in Ågårdskogen. We have 31 apartments for the elderly, of which 7 are for the elderly with disabilities. We actively work to ensure that support is tailored based on a salutogenic approach by taking advantage of the residents' individual needs, wishes, and strengths.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant with us, you provide care and social services based on the individual needs and wishes of the residents. Together with other staff, you work to enable each individual to live as independently as possible based on their own conditions and prerequisites. Everyday life should be understandable and meaningful for the individual, where structure, clarity, and security are cornerstones.

Working with people is a varied job that places high demands on commitment, empathy, approach, and collaboration. You will be the extended arm of our residents in their daily lives, which may involve supporting residents in various activities, with hygiene, assisting during meals, and ensuring that certain health and medical care as well as rehabilitative measures are performed on the orders of a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist.

We work with great respect for the resident's integrity and tailor support according to the resident's needs. We work with contact person responsibility. In your role as a contact person for one or more residents, you are the one who builds a safe and sustainable relationship between the resident, colleagues, and relatives. In the contact person responsibility, you are responsible for ensuring that implementation plans are established, followed up, and revised.

It is natural for you to work independently but also to actively collaborate in a team. Everyone in the team collaborates based on their competence and holistic view of the resident. A cohesive close support creates security for the resident, and adjustments in support are made as needed.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in working with people and meets each individual based on their needs and wishes. You are secure in yourself and comfortable working with individuals who are in great need of continuity and structure. You need to be empathetic and able to read our residents' needs.

To thrive and do a good job, you need to be independent, able to take responsibility, but also be part of the team with the ability to collaborate and support others. A positive attitude, a sense of service, as well as respect and care in all relationships characterize you as a candidate.

Requirements:

• To be employed as a nursing assistant, you need to attach proof of a protected professional title with your application or a certificate from your current employer confirming that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.
• Proficiency in Swedish in speech and writing as well as good reading comprehension.
• Basic digital competence.

Meritorious:

• Care and nursing college diploma.
• Further education in dementia or the elderly field.

Information about the title nursing assistant

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within care and nursing. You can apply for the proof starting from July 1, 2023. Conditions

We are looking for two nursing assistants for permanent employment at Skogsgläntan Elderly Home. Start date according to agreement with a full-time employment rate of 100%.

You will work scheduled hours such as days, evenings, and weekends.

Your employment will be within the Social Welfare Sector of Lidköping Municipality, with placement at Skogsgläntan Elderly Home.
